(haipo) The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the District Court against Ali Masved (28), for the intentional murder of his wife, the late Yonit Masved, under aggravated circumstances. Masved is charged with intentional murder under aggravated circumstances and obstruction of justice.
Suspicions of infidelity led to fatal stabbing
According to the indictment, after the birth of the couple's son, Masved began to suspect his wife of cheating on him and planning to leave him. One evening, Masved attacked his wife and stabbed her to death in their apartment, while their infant son was in the apartment. This was a serious incident in which, according to the indictment, the defendant acted on unproven suspicions of his wife, and took her life in their shared home in the presence of their young child.
Attempt to cover up evidence after the murder
According to the indictment, after committing the murder, Masvida took his wife's body into the shower and washed the blood off her body, in an attempt to cover up the evidence of the murder he committed. For these acts, he is also charged with obstruction of justice, in addition to the crime of intentional murder under aggravated circumstances. The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed the indictment with the District Court, and the case is expected to be heard before it later.
