The Israel Police prepared for the Haifa derby at Sammy Ofer Stadium on Saturday, March 29.03.25, XNUMX.

(Hai Pa) – The Israel Police have completed their preparations for the football match between Hapoel Haifa and Maccabi Haifa, which will take place tonight (Saturday, March 29.03.25, 20) at 15:XNUMX PM at Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa.

The stadium gates will open to fans as early as 18:00 PM, and the police recommend that fans arrive early due to strict checks expected at the entrances.

In parallel with the game, protests are expected to take place in the Carmel Center and Horev Center, which are expected to create significant traffic congestion. The police are calling on the driving public to drive patiently and obey the instructions of the police officers who will work to regulate traffic.

Key highlights for the game:

• Activating or throwing flares during the game may result in an immediate end to the game.

• It is mandatory to present an identification document (ID card, driver's license or passport) at the entrance gates. You can also present a photocopy of the document on your cell phone.

• Entry will be accompanied by strict inspection, including inspections in designated tents and the use of mirroring systems. Security cameras will be reinforced.

• It is prohibited to bring items of clothing that cover the face, such as ski masks. Violation will result in a fine of 500 NIS and a 30-day ban from football games.

Additional instructions for fans:

• In any emergency, follow the instructions of the police and security personnel.

• Operating drones is strictly prohibited.

• Alcohol is prohibited, and fans under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to enter.

• Weapons will not be allowed into the stadium.

• Bringing in flares or other pyrotechnic equipment is strictly prohibited. Fans caught with these items will be prosecuted in accordance with the Sports Law.

• Cheerleading equipment will only be allowed in with police permission.

• Passing between gates and disobeying the instructions of the ushers or police officers constitutes a violation of the law and will be dealt with accordingly.

• It is recommended to use alternative routes due to expected traffic congestion. Do not enter the stadium area without a parking permit or if you are not a resident of the Neot Peres neighborhood.

Enhanced public transportation

An enhanced public transportation system (Line 1) will be operated from the Krayot Central Station, Lev Hamifratz and Hof Carmel – with priority on traffic routes and when passing through traffic lights on the way to the stadium.

After the game, an enhanced metro system will be available to the public on Route 4, near the Statue Intersection. The police are asking the public to prefer using public transportation to make it easier to get to and from the event.

The police call on fans to obey instructions, avoid physical or verbal violence, and maintain a sporting atmosphere for a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

  1. I wish for the mayor to cancel the entire parking lot around the stadium. will oblige everyone to arrive by public transport. Production of shelters for buses to Horeb and the center of Carmel. Instead of the huge parking area, more sports facilities will be created, such as an indoor Olympic pool or a multi-purpose sports hall such as in Jerusalem the arena near Teri Stadium, in order to create a sports complex as promised in the past.

    • Absolutely right. Haifa needs to move forward like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv towards a future that includes fewer cars and more people. It's not perfect there either, but at least they're trying.

    • Assaf Haifa is progressing in reverse - the downtown suffers from the terrible noise of vehicles passing through it, not to mention the explosions of biker gangs when the police do nothing to stop it and cause great suffering to residents and business owners. In the lower city there is darkness. In a dark Paris square. In a dark Palmer gate. The stairs between the neighborhoods are dark. This municipality does not understand how to create a city for people. The entire space between Hadar and the lower city is a black hole of neglect. Dirt in every urban garden and promenade, in quantities. Simply a city without leadership is the unfortunate reality.
