(haipo) The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the District Court against Emil Abashiev (46) for the aggravated murder of the late Yoav Gilboa and other offenses. The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed a serious indictment with the Haifa District Court against Emil Abashiev, 46, for the aggravated murder of the late Yoav Gilboa. According to the indictment, Abashiev stabbed the deceased to death and then burned his body in order to hide evidence of the murder. This is a serious case in which the defendant allegedly resorted to extreme violence and then tried to cover up the traces of the crime by setting the body on fire. The indictment includes, in addition to the crime of aggravated murder, additional offenses.

According to the indictment, after committing the murder, Emil Abashev did not act alone in an attempt to conceal the evidence. Three other people are accused of aiding the main defendant: his son, David Abashev, 22, his sister Ella Abashev, 47, and the sister's partner, Ruslan Abramov, 37. The three other defendants are accused of assisting Emil Abashev in cleaning the vehicle involved in the incident and in setting the deceased's body on fire. The indictment against all three includes offenses of arson and obstruction of justice, due to their involvement in an attempt to cover up the traces of the crime and obstruct the investigation of the murder.
