Talpiot market structure • Rapid disintegration from the restoration

The Telpiot market building, designed by the architect Moshe Gerstel, was opened in a solemn ceremony in April 1940 and its purpose was to replace the markets that operated in the lower city. The building is one of many built in Haifa in the international style.
In the 60s, the municipality worked to eliminate the vendors in the streets surrounding the market building, but without much success. Beginning in the 90s, commercial activity began to decline in the market building and at the same time the physical deterioration of the building became more and more acute. It can be said that trading on the nearby streets, and especially on Sirkin Street, beat that inside the market structure.
As part of its activities to restore the Hadar HaCarmel neighborhood, the Haifa Municipality seeks to restore the market structure as well, but its activities are proceeding very slowly, while the physical disintegration of the building is occurring at an accelerated rate.
And so Haifa is destined to lose another one of its coveted charms...
Very sad. It is important that you wrote about it. And again - the illustration is very beautiful and adds color to the article, literally
Can't overcome the scourge of pigs, so will you overcome the restoration of the market? Eagerly waiting for you to leave
Very sad, because the building is greedy
Letting Kalish lead and finish means allowing this curse to destroy something else. I didn't tolerate her when she was part of the city average and obviously I didn't vote for her knowing clearly that she doesn't understand anything about running a city. In my wildest and sickest imagination I never imagined that in such a short time you would be able to destroy so much. With great talent she destroys every good part and every day she is in office is destined for a new disaster. A blow fell on us Einat Kallish. A curse on her name.
Hope you are wrong, and that the renovation will be finished soon.
Maybe the behavior is because of the division? Let Klish lead and finish. Also the renovation.
Well done, Dr. David Bar On, for referring to Nega Karmi's Hai Pa website for the Talpiot market in Haifa. Shabbos shalom.
