(haipo) – The 2017 school year opened this morning in Haifa in a festive and relaxed atmosphere, when 56,483 students Back to kindergartens and schools across the city. After months of comprehensive municipal preparation, educational institutions welcomed children prepared, safe, and ready for a new year of learning, creativity, and growth.
Haifa starts the year with educational pride

Yahav emphasized the city's pride in the Haifa education system's victory in theNational Education Award, and noted that the achievement represents a commitment to continued investment, innovation, and continuous improvement.
He said that the previous school year, which was affected by the war, posed significant challenges for the education system. Despite this, the men and women of education in Haifa demonstrated extraordinary dedication and ensured optimal educational continuity for the children.
The municipal emergency management center in action: a smooth and trouble-free opening
This morning, the Haifa Municipality activated the Municipal Emergency Management Unit (MANM), which is designed to monitor what is happening in educational institutions, traffic, and municipal preparedness. The Municipality's Director General, David Luria, was present and closely supervised the activity on the ground to ensure a safe and orderly start to the year.
New programs: Education that enables
The year 2017 brings with it a series of innovative programs as part of the concept "Education enables" Led by the municipality:
