(haipo) Haifa Municipality will begin This Thursday, 15.10.26, Work is underway to replace a seam on Bridge 22/75 (Kishon Interchange). The work is expected to last about a month and will cause significant changes to traffic arrangements in the area, including complete closures of the bridge at night and on weekends.
Full blocks at nights and weekends
The work will be carried out during the nights, between 22:00 PM and 05:00 AM the next day, as well as on weekends, from Thursday at 21:00 PM to Sunday at 04:00 AM.
During these hours, access to the bridge will be completely closed to traffic. As part of the work, the ramp from Route 22 to Route 75 towards Yagur will also be closed, and Julius Simon Road from the port to the connection with Route 75 will also be closed to traffic.
On the rest of the week, traffic on the bridge will be limited to one lane only, and therefore traffic congestion is expected in the area.
Alternative routes for drivers
- For those coming from Highway 22 heading north – it will be possible to travel towards Nazareth by going down the Mevo Carmel interchange to the Yigal Yadin Highway and via the Kishon Intersection, or alternatively via the Big Kiryot interchange and Highway 722 to the Yagur interchange.
- For those coming from the port – travel towards Nazareth will be possible via Yigal Yadin and the Kishon Junction.
- On times when the bridge will be completely closed to traffic, drivers will be directed to alternative routes according to the signage that will be posted on site.
The Haifa Municipality is appealing to drivers to prepare accordingly, take alternative routes, and obey the instructions and signs that will be posted in the area.
