Free parking in Blue and White in Haifa throughout the Sukkot holiday

(Haipo) – The Haifa Municipality announced that on the occasion of Chol HaMoed Sukkot, free parking will be available in blue-and-white marked spaces throughout the city. The benefit will be valid from Friday, September 25, 2026, until Friday, October 2, 2026, in preparation for the many Chol HaMoed events expected to attract tens of thousands of residents and visitors to the city.

Free parking in blue and white only

The Haifa Municipality would like to emphasize that the exemption from payment applies only to regulated parking in the blue-and-white marked areas. This means that drivers will be able to park their vehicles in these areas without having to pay, throughout the entire Chol HaMoed period. This is a measure intended to make it easier for the many residents and visitors who are expected to attend the various events taking place throughout the city during this period.

The Enforcement Division will continue to operate as usual.

Despite the relaxation in the issue of parking in blue and white, the municipal enforcement department will continue to fully enforce parking laws throughout the city. Among other things, parking in red and white will be enforced, parking in places reserved for public transportation, including metro, bus and taxi stations, as well as parking in places reserved for people with disabilities. In addition, any parking that endangers pedestrians or interferes with vehicle traffic throughout the city will be enforced, so drivers are asked to ensure that only regulated and legal parking is allowed.

  1. Is this journalism or a "publicity statement"?
On a daily basis, there is no enforcement here regarding parking at bus stops, traffic lights, sidewalks, and parking on the road in travel lanes (red-white, for example), so during the week of the film festival???
It seems as if whoever posted the article doesn't know this city.
Normally there is anarchy on the roads here. During the festival, the "celebration" in general rises to a higher level.

The only thing that might be true here is that Blue and White will not require payment this week. This is the only enforcement there is here regarding traffic.
