(haipo) The Haifa Municipality is distributing thatch for the city's central public Sukkot today and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday, September 24-25, 2026). The distribution will take place at various points throughout Haifa, including in Kiryat Haim, Kiryat Shmuel, Romema, Neve Sha'anan and other neighborhoods, according to a pre-defined schedule. It should be emphasized that the distribution is intended for the central public Sukkot only.
Thatch distribution schedule for Thursday, September 24, 2026
On Thursday, the thatch will be distributed at several points throughout the city, starting at 09:00 AM:
Between 09:00–09:30, thatch will be distributed in Kiryat Haim at the Ben-Zvi parking lot and in Shprinzak on Rotam Street. Between 10:00–10:30, a distribution will take place in Kiryat Shmuel, in Bnei Akiva – Haroeh Street, corner of Moledet Street. Between 11:00–12:00, a distribution will take place at 16 Ahavat Yisrael Street, and later between 12:00–12:30 at 6 Ahavat Yisrael Street, corner of Michael. Between 12:30–13:00, thatch will be distributed at the central plaza in Weizmann, and between 13:00–13:30 at Wingate Square.

On Friday, the division will continue with several additional points:
Between 09:00 and 09:30, thatch will be distributed in Romema, in the PICA parking lot.
At 10:00–10:30, a distribution will take place in Neve Sha'anan, on Netiv Chen and in the Rambam School complex, and at 10:30–11:00 again in Shprinzak on Rotam Street. Between 11:00–12:00, a distribution will take place on 6 Rosh Pina Street. In the afternoon, between 13:00–13:30, a thatch will be distributed in Kiryat Haim in the Ben-Zvi parking lot,
And between 13:30 PM and 14:00 PM in Kiryat Shmuel, in Bnei Akiva – Haroeh Street, corner of Moledet Street.
