A woman in her sixties choked on a doughnut and was taken to the Rambam in serious condition.

(Haipo) – A Haifa resident in her sixties was taken to the emergency room at Rambam Hospital this morning after choking while eating a doughnut. The woman arrived at the hospital in serious condition and is being resuscitated by MDA teams, according to a Rambam Hospital spokeswoman.

According to the report given to medical officials at the hospital, the woman choked while eating a donut, a phenomenon that the hospital says recurs every holiday. In addition to choking, the woman also stumbled and suffered fractures in the upper part of her body. The woman was evacuated to the hospital by MDA teams while being transferred while performing CPR, which indicates the severity of her condition even at the time of evacuation.
