(haipo) Two suspects were arrested yesterday (Saturday, 10/24/26), in the evening hours, after allegedly taking photos outside the Damon Correctional Facility. Nesher police officers who were called to the scene located the suspects and arrested them, and the two were taken for questioning on suspicion of security violations.
Two suspects arrested near Damon Prison
Yesterday evening, the police received a report of two suspects who were seen outside the Damon Correctional Facility, where they were suspected of filming the facility. Police officers from the Nesher Police Station were called to the scene, located the two suspects, and took action to arrest them. After the arrest, the two were transferred for questioning at the Nesher Police Station, and at the conclusion of the investigation, it was decided to imprison them. According to police spokeswomen, this is a suspicion of security violations.
The police will request an extension of detention.
In accordance with the needs of the investigation, the police are expected to submit a request to the court today to extend the detention of the two suspects. At this stage, the investigation is ongoing and additional details regarding the identity of the suspects and the circumstances of the case have not yet been released.
