(haipo) – Haifa continues to move towards a modern, faster and more convenient public transportation system. As part of the work to advance the Metro project, the "Cross Israel" company will carry out work on the night between Thursday and Friday, August 6-7, to dismantle the pedestrian bridge at the Matam intersection, another significant step towards upgrading the city's transportation infrastructure.
Night work: dismantling the bridge and changes to traffic
The work will take place between 20:30 PM and 05:00 AM, during which time temporary traffic arrangements will apply in the area:
- Highway 4 will be closed to traffic in both directions.
- From Highway 2 (from the south), a right turn onto Highway 4 south will not be possible.
- From Meir Zorea Street, a right turn onto Highway 4 south will not be possible.
- From the Carmel Tunnels (Route 23), it will not be possible to descend to Route 4 south.

Despite the temporary inconvenience, the work is part of a broader process aimed at improving the quality of life in the city and providing residents with a more efficient, advanced, and accessible public transportation system.
The road to the new matron continues
