(haipo) - Towards the completion of the development of the powerful laser interception system
The Ministry of Defense informed Lai Pa:
The Ministry of Defense signed a huge deal, amounting to about NIS 2 billion, for a significant expansion of the equipment for laser interception systems ('Magan Or'), with the main developer, the Rafael company, and with the 'Elbit Systems' company.
Director General of the Ministry of Defense General (res.) Eyal Zamir, last night (Sun. 27/10/24) signed an invitation to expand the serial production of the first Israeli-developed laser interception system, Magan Or. During the limited signing ceremony at the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv Participating were the head of PAAT, Brigadier General (ret.) Dr. Danny Gold, CEO of Rafael Company, Yoav Turgeman, CEO of Elbit Systems, Bezalel (Butsi) Machlis, head of the finance department at the office, CPA Dekal Cohen, the legal advisor to the security system, attorney Itai Ofir and other senior officials.

Within the framework of the agreement between the Ministry of Defense and the main developer Rafael and Elbit Systems, the production rate will be increased significantly, in order to supply laser systems on time and at a high rate.
Iron Beam It is a powerful laser system for air defense from the ground, against aerial threats (rockets, mortar bombs, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and more). The R&D unit at MPA is leading the project, together with the main developer - the Rafael company and with the 'Elbit Systems' company. The 'Magan Or' system is a technological breakthrough on a global level. Its impressive interception capabilities were proven in a series of experiments. The 'Magan Or' system is expected to be integrated into the multi-layered defense system of the State of Israel as a complementary capability to the "Iron Dome" system. Its integration will enable a significant improvement in Israel's defense capabilities against existing and future threats and at significantly lower costs.
Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel (Ret.) Eyal Zamir:
"At the outbreak of the war, the Ministry of Defense signed hundreds of orders worth tens of billions of NIS, to strengthen the independence of Blue and White production and to build the strength of the IDF. We set ourselves as a major goal the reduction of dependence on external factors and the strengthening of Israeli industry. The Magen Haor deal is one of the deals The most important one we signed, as it heralds the beginning of a new era on the battlefield - the laser era. The first capability of the ground laser system, developed in cooperation between Mpaat and large industries and startup companies, is expected to enter operational service in a year from today. The 'Magan Or' deal will ensure the continuation and acceleration of equipping with many more laser systems."

Head of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Dr. Danny Gold:
"The 'Magan Or' system is another testimony to the super professionalism of the defense industries led by the Defense Ministry, to creativity, innovation and ingenuity on the one hand and management and execution capabilities on the other hand. We have reached global supremacy, in technology and its operational application on the battlefield, thanks to the combination between defense industries and start-up companies. Magan Or will be a complementary system to the Iron Dome system. The combination between laser interception and missile interception will further tighten the defense envelope against rockets, missiles, UAVs, cruise missiles and other threats."
CEO of Rafael, Yoav Turgeman:
"Raphael is proud to lead the development and supply of the first and most advanced high-power laser system of its kind in the world to intercept a wide variety of aerial threats. After many years of research, development and significant technological breakthroughs in the laser field at Rafael and a long series of experiments in which the system's capability was proven, the "Magan Or" system It will soon reach the maturity that will allow it to be put into operation. The Magan Or system is a significant milestone in the upgrading of Israel's air defense system. on the citizens of the State of Israel".
President and CEO of Elbit Systems, Bezalel (Butzi) Machlis: "As Israel's laser home and as a world leader in powerful laser technology, Elbit welcomes the significant progress in the Magan Or project and is proud of its contribution to its success. The capabilities that are developed at Elbit and will be integrated into "Magan Or" constitute a leap forward in future defense against various threats. Elbit management and its employees are proud of the company's contribution to the defense of the State of Israel through groundbreaking strategic systems. The development of the laser and its integration into a national project led by the Ministry of Defense is another and significant step in the maturation of a variety of capabilities from Elbit Systems that change and lead the nature of defense and warfare into a new era."
The talks about lack of dependence on imports seem far-fetched and disconnected from the field: it's very nice that sophisticated products are produced for billions, and it seems that they make a profit accordingly, but what about independence in "gray" procurement such as off-the-shelf standard armaments? These are imported in astronomical quantities and it does not seem that production lines are opening in Israel (I would be happy if I am wrong).
We are pawns of security industries as a testing ground for weapons and defense systems!?
If Israel has hydrogen bombs, now is the time to throw them away and defeat Qatar and Iran, who finance global terrorism against us. Hundreds of civilians are being slaughtered here by missiles and ground fighting from house to house and you are selling laser toys
Let's bomb Russia, China and North Korea and maybe Turkey as well. Eyal, you live in a movie
The author Eyal is a wild animal swimming in a dream.. The activation of a hydrogen bomb may be the trigger for the destruction of the earth. You have to react intelligently and not from the ranting of an overgrown baby who is not wise enough to see the end result. Stop childish and stupid rants....
A caveat to wisdom - silence.
