According to the statement, the forces attacked Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communications systems and air defense sites throughout Iran. US Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy forces fired precision munitions at Iranian targets that posed a threat to US forces and international merchant ships transiting regional waters. According to CENTCOM, the strikes are a response to Iran's ongoing and unjustified aggression, and American forces remain alert, lethal and ready.
Iran reports explosions and responds with drone attack
On the other hand, Iran's Revolutionary Guards said that the Iranian armed forces' response to what they call "American raids and aggressive acts" will continue. Iranian radio and television reported that explosions were heard in the cities of Qarg and Qazvin, and that the source of the explosions was unknown. In addition, the Revolutionary Guards said that the Iranian military is carrying out a drone attack against the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet.
