In accordance with operational needs, the IDF is deployed in the security zone, approximately ten kilometers inside Lebanese territory, with the aim of removing threats and improving protection for residents of the north.

According to a statement from the IDF spokesman, IDF forces have established themselves in their area of ​​operation in southern Lebanon and continue to work to eliminate threats and improve protection for residents of the north. The deployment extends over approximately ten kilometers within Lebanese territory, in accordance with operational needs. As part of the update, the IDF published a map showing the boundaries of the security area in which the forces operate, including markings of the security area line, the maritime security area, the border line, as well as rivers and streams in the area of ​​operation.

The map published by the IDF Spokesperson shows the security zone that extends along the Israel-Lebanon border, from the Mount Dov area in the east to the Tyre area in the west. The map marks many Lebanese communities that are within the security zone, including Kafr Qila, Al-Thiam, Qantara, Induriya, Tibnin, Bafra, Zabkin, Ras al-Bayda, Majdal Zun, Yater and Beit Lif. Geographical landmarks such as the Litani River, the Zahrani River, Wadi Hasluki, the Beaufort Range and the Sylvester Range are also marked on the map.
