(haipo) Magen David Adom medics and paramedics provided medical care to a total of 262 people in Haifa and the region during Yom Kippur 2017. The patients included bicycle and scooter accidents, people who felt unwell, pregnant women in labor, victims of violence, and victims of traffic accidents. Most of the patients were in mild condition.
Haifa: 133 patients, cycling injuries and road accidents
In the city of Haifa alone, MDA medics and paramedics treated 133 people, the highest number among all localities in the area. 13 people were injured while riding bicycles, scooters, etc., all in minor condition.
17 people felt unwell, two pregnant women felt labor pains and were evacuated to the hospital in MDA ambulances, one person was slightly injured in a violent incident, and two other people were slightly injured in traffic accidents.
Kiryat Motzkin: Dozens of patients and one moderately injured person
In the cities of the Krayot, MDA treated dozens of people.
In Kiryat Motzkin – 28 people were treated, including five who were injured while riding bicycles and scooters, one of whom is in moderate condition and four in mild condition, as well as three who felt unwell.
In Kiryat Ata – 26 people were treated, of whom three were injured while riding bicycles and scooters in a minor condition, two felt unwell and three pregnant women felt labor pains and were evacuated to the hospital in MDA ambulances.
in Kiryat Bialik – 25 people were treated, including one person who was injured in a violent incident in a minor condition.
In Kiryat Yam – 22 people were treated, of whom three felt unwell and one pregnant woman felt labor pains and was evacuated to the hospital in an MDA ambulance.
Tirat HaCarmel, Nesher and Hof HaCarmel: Limited number of patients
In the other localities in the area, more limited activity was recorded.
In the Carmel Castle – 12 people were treated, two of whom felt unwell, without riding injuries, violence or traffic accidents.
In Nesher – Five people were treated, two of whom felt unwell, although without any other unusual events.
Hof HaCarmel Regional Council – 11 people were treated, including one person who felt unwell, without riding injuries, violence or traffic accidents.
