Fire and Rescue urges the public to take precautions
Following the incident, the Israel Fire and Rescue Service reminds the public of several important safety points. The organization urges people to immediately dial 102 in any case of detecting a fire, smoke, or fear of danger. It also emphasizes that a smoke detector saves lives – installation is simple and inexpensive, and it provides an early warning that allows for a quick escape and calling the fire department. In addition, one should avoid connecting many high-power electrical appliances to a single outlet or power strip, for fear of a fire due to overload.
