At the center of the event was the presentation of the new direct line between Bucharest and Tel Aviv, which began operating on October 5, 2025.

During the meeting with Deputy Mayor Israel Savyon, it was agreed that the Romanian airline AnimaWings will, for the first time in Israel, provide a 10% discount to senior citizens when purchasing airline tickets.

At the same time, the company presented unique flight packages for students and senior citizens at the launch event, as part of expanding its activities in the Israeli tourism market.

During the meeting, the Consul General emphasized his commitment to strengthening tourism and economic ties between Haifa and the North and Romania. He said that the Consulate sees the city of Haifa as an important strategic destination, and expressed his willingness to promote discussions with senior municipal officials and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, David Castel, in order to expand cooperation.

AnimaWings representatives noted that the company expressed interest in examining the possibility of operating flights from Haifa Airport in the future, alongside the regular route that will open from Tel Aviv, as part of the intention to strengthen Haifa's position as a significant tourist destination.

The Consul General of Romania in Haifa, Adrian Brinkovan, who initiated the launch event of the private Romanian airline AnimaWings in northern Israel, said: “I initiated the launch event at the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa, an area to which I feel a deep affinity, due to the strength, perseverance, and open spirit of its residents, who prove every day that it is possible to succeed, regardless of the circumstances.

I will continue to work, with all the means at my disposal, to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.

This economic event is only the beginning of a broader partnership, which will include projects in various fields and initiatives aimed at bringing the communities and business circles of Romania and the northern State of Israel even closer together.
