(haipo) The Haifa Municipality will begin on Sunday, July 5, 26, work to improve infrastructure on Shimshon Street, in the section between Moriah Street and the Yotam-HaBikurim intersection. During the work period, the Aliyah lane on the street will be closed to traffic, from the Asif-HaBikurim intersection to Moriah Boulevard, and the municipality is urging drivers to prepare accordingly.
Laying a new water line and upgrading the road and sidewalks
As part of the work, which will be carried out by the Carmel Water Corporation, a new water line will be laid for the benefit of the area's residents. In addition, work will be carried out to renew the sidewalks and the road, as part of the municipality's policy to upgrade public space and improve the quality of life in the city's neighborhoods. The work is part of a broad process of upgrading infrastructure, roads and pathways throughout Haifa, with the aim of providing residents with a safer, more comfortable and advanced living environment.
Changes to traffic arrangements on Shimshon Street
In order to carry out the work, the section of the street on the ascending lane will be closed only, starting on Sunday, 5.7.26, until Wednesday, 15.8.26.
Traffic from the Shimshon-Yotam intersection to Moriah Boulevard will be possible via Yotam Street, to Sefer Square.
The descent from Moriah Boulevard to Shimshon Street will be possible as usual.
Before the work begins, signs will be placed throughout the area, alerting drivers to the changes in traffic arrangements.

The municipality should expedite approvals for developers who are waiting to begin the process of clearing out the old intermediate construction in Kiryat Eliezer in order to build apartments of this size. This should be the red line urgently.
