As part of the seventh round of the "Winner" League, Maccabi Haifa hosted Shlomo Insurance Stadium tonight (Saturday night, 10/17/2026) for an intriguing game on Maccabi Petah Tikva's field. The Greens from Haifa want to continue the positive momentum of their victories while their opponent Petah Tikva is eager to stop their accumulation of losses.

The young, 17-year-old striker, Adam Grimberg of the Greens, returned to the team's coach Barak Bachar's squad, after it became clear this week that Guy Melamed, who was injured this week in the team's training session, will be absent for a long period of time, as well as the new acquisition Eli Dassa.

As the first half began, the teams fumbled and in the 13th minute, local player Eyal Inbroom surprisingly kicked a powerful ball into the net, scoring a spectacular goal that defeated Glazer and made it 1:0 for Petah Tikva. Haifa continued to pressure Petah Tikva and Broninho tried to score the opponent's goal but without success and the players went down to the locker rooms to take a break and rest, a rather surprising 1:0 for Maccabi Petah Tikva!

As the second half began, Maccabi Haifa continued to pressure Petah Tikva and in the 61st minute, Kenny Seif scored an excellent goal from the corner, and it was Haifa's short player Eitan Azulai who scored and defeated the opposing goalkeeper, making the game a deserved 1:1 tie, and the game reopened.

A few minutes later, in the 66th minute, the game turned around when Bruninho picked up a precise, spinning ball and the young Noam Steifman hit the net from close range, scoring and making it 2:1 for Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Haifa's fifth consecutive victory.

In the 71st minute, Greens coach Barak Bachar makes a substitution, with Iyad Khalaili replacing Kenji Hora. Maccabi Petah Tikva does not give up and continues to attack the Greens' goal. But it was not enough for them and time ran out, and Maccabi Haifa leaves the pitch with a 2:1 victory over Haifa, a result that also raises them to first place in the Premier League table at least until next Monday, when Beitar Jerusalem will play against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
