(haipo) – The Population and Immigration Authority announced an additional extension of the return visas (inter-visas) for foreign workers who recently went on vacation and have not yet returned to Israel. The decision was made in light of Operation "Roar of the Harrier" and the need to allow legal workers to return to their jobs without harming their status.
The Population and Immigration Authority informed Hai Pa:
According to the announcement Head of the Foreign Workers Administration, Moshe Nakash, These are approximately 4,600 legal foreign workers from all employment sectors, who left Israel in recent weeks and whose return visas were scheduled to expire during March and April 2026.
To prevent a situation in which these workers would have difficulty returning to Israel, the validity of the visas was extended comprehensively.
New validity: until April 30, 2026
The Population Authority stated that the validity of the visas has been extended until April 30, 2026, and that the extension is carried out automatically, without the need for an application from the workers or their employers.
Continued preparations for the security situation
The Authority notes that the decision is intended to address the immediate needs of the economy during a complex period, and to ensure that legal foreign workers will be able to return to Israel and continue their work without delays.
