(Live here) – The Teachers' Union is exacerbating and expanding the disruptions in kindergartens and schools.
On Sunday, 4/5/25 – classes in all educational institutions across the country will begin at 11:00 AM..
The announcement of the teachers union:
This Sunday, May 4.5.25, 11, classes in all educational institutions throughout the country will begin at 00:XNUMX AM. The decision applies to kindergartens, elementary schools, and middle schools. Special education institutions (schools and kindergartens) are excluded from this decision. They will study as usual.
Accordingly, between 11:00 and 8:00, teaching staff at educational institutions will hold informational conferences. It is clarified and emphasized that during these hours, the educational institution staff will not accept students. Special education teaching staff who do not find a solution for their young children will be able to take a declaration day or a choice day, in accordance with their rights.
The Teachers' Union's decision was made in light of the Finance Ministry's steps to deliberately, at all costs and systematically, obstruct the negotiation discussions that were required to find a suitable solution to the discrimination against teaching staff. The Finance Ministry chose not to hold intensive and continuous negotiations, and even went so far as to do so when it ostentatiously failed to attend the joint meeting with the Minister of Education. This is extremely serious conduct, as it reflects contempt and constitutes a mockery of the court's decision.

Yaffe Ben David, Secretary General of the Teachers' Union:
"The Ministry of Finance is acting with arrogance and moral blindness towards the teaching public. The Ministry of Finance is choosing to escape responsibility, violate commitments and conduct itself with outrageous opacity. This is not just a serious harm to teaching staff, but to the entire education system, which is in a very difficult crisis. We will not allow this. The Teachers' Union will continue to fight with determination and with all the tools at its disposal, until a proper solution to discrimination is provided."
You are 110% right… Now I want to go on strike because I don’t have a day off once a week in the middle of the week when I don’t work, a week and a half off before Passover, off during Hanukkah, Passover and Sukkot, two months of great vacation in the summer… Oops, if I go on strike, they will simply replace me…
