Every month the CBS publishes a list of cities where over 150 apartments, both new and second hand, have been sold.
While Haifa maintains its place at the top of the leading cities in the sale of second-hand apartments, it is often ranked at the bottom of the table when it comes to new apartments. However, last month there was a positive change, when the city reached seventh place in the sale of new apartments, and this week it is already advancing to fourth place - an extraordinary achievement that indicates a significant improvement trend in the local real estate market.

335 new apartments were sold in August - October 2024
According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in Haifa, 335 new apartments were sold in the months of August - October (an increase of 16.3%) compared to the months of May - July when 288 apartments were sold.
The leading cities in the table were Jerusalem (773 apartments), Tel Aviv (693 apartments) and Ofakim (575). In terms of second-hand apartments, Haifa is in second place, as in recent months, with the sale of 830 apartments in the months of August - October. This is a decrease of 14.3% compared to the months of May - July, when 969 apartments were sold. In first place in the table is Jerusalem with the sale of 833 apartments in the months of August - October and after Haifa is Beer Sheva with 717 apartments and Tel Aviv with 488 apartments.
In terms of the number of new apartments remaining for sale as of October 2024, Haifa is in 11th place with 1,337 new apartments. At the top of the table is Tel Aviv with about 8,500 apartments, Jerusalem with about 6,180 apartments and Bat Yam with about 4,200 apartments.

After we managed to remove these barriers, the developers advanced their projects, many of them passed the relevant committees and even received permits to market the apartments. There is no doubt that Haifa is in a development boom, with expectations for the next two to three years in which not only will the negative immigration from the city be curbed, but there will also be an increase in the positive immigration of a strong population, which will contribute to the growth of the city.
This is the way to keep the young people in the city, along with other projects of urban renewal and the promotion of the Neat Navon neighborhood. At the same time, we are working to expand the offer of employment and commerce in the city, with the aim of securing jobs for the new families that join us and strengthening the local economy.
