(haipo) - A private car driver in Haifa blocked a bus with his car, near the Grand Canyon, spat on the windshield and hurled racist remarks at the driver.
The Union of Transportation Witnesses by Force for Employees: "This is a serious insult to a public servant. It is impossible for the state to turn a blind eye to the humiliation of the drivers and refuse to recognize them as public servants."
Another case of assault in Haifa took place on Thursday (29/12/22), on a bus that left the Grand Canyon station at noon and tried to join the traffic. A private car driver beeped at the bus driver from the opposite lane for reasons that are not clear. The bus driver ignored it and the driver of the private car, which initially signaled to the right, changed the direction of travel, continued to follow the bus driver, blocked the bus, got out of his vehicle, spat on the windshield and shouted "This is what you are worth - all Arabs". A complaint will be filed with the Haifa police.

M., the bus driver who was attacked:
"I have never experienced such an insult on the road. Instead of focusing on driving, I have to deal with a brainstorm that is chasing the bus, and for what? Stopping a bus full of passengers for that? I was confused throughout the entire incident, but there is no reason for us to go over it in silence. This is an insult to a public servant and I expect the police to Respond accordingly."

Tam Fromovitz, head of the transportation branch for employees:
"Public transport drivers in Israel are promiscuous and so are the passengers. There is no sovereign on the road and the bus drivers are at the bottom of the food chain. Private car drivers see bus stops as parking bays, beep at the drivers and force drivers to drop passengers off at a dangerous place. Every argument on the road creates a traffic jam that endangers dozens of passengers. How is it possible That under these circumstances the bus drivers are not yet defined as public servants? We are convinced that even in this term of Minister Regev we will continue the fruitful cooperation to eradicate violence against bus drivers and strengthen the status of the drivers, starting with recognizing them as public servants."

Even if they are not public servants, no one deserves to be subscribed and verbally/physically attacked
A bus carries 50 passengers, a private car carries a driver and maybe another passenger, so drivers be considerate and let him blend into the traffic. What will you lose fifteen seconds.
Another one who received a state education for inclusion, tolerance, enlightenment, acceptance of difference.
Here are the results of a glorious secular education.
In a TV article on the same subject, you can see the person spitting, removing his cap before spitting, so that it doesn't fall on him during the act, and then putting it back on his head, after the act. Black cap, by the way...
And the poor bus drivers. They just stick to the private vehicles in front of them at a speed of 50 km/h. They did nothing. Yes….
So ?
What did you want to say in your response?
If a bus driver commits an offense, take no. the vehicle and complain.
In no way to violence
