Violent confrontation on bus line 136 in Haifa: female passenger attacks inspectors and passengers in front of the driver

(haipo) An incident of verbal and physical violence occurred on Thursday (5/2/26), on bus line 136 in the city. During the ride, a heated confrontation developed between a female passenger and three inspectors, and later between her and two other passengers. Passengers who were there describe a continuous incident, accompanied by shouting, cursing and physical assault, without any intervention from the bus driver.

According to testimony from a passenger who was there and contacted the police, the incident began as soon as she boarded the bus at the Horev Central Station. According to her, three inspectors tried to confront a young passenger who was holding a one-year-old baby after she failed to validate her ticket. The confrontation between the parties quickly escalated into a heated verbal altercation, during which the passenger blatantly cursed at the inspectors.
Eventually, the inspectors got off the bus, but the attacking passenger remained on it, and the tension did not subside. The passenger told "Hai Pa" that the incident began at the Horev Central Station, where she boarded the bus, and continued throughout the trip.

One of the passengers, a young man in his 20s, recorded the incident on his camera. The female passenger demanded that he delete the video, and when he refused, she began cursing at him. Another female passenger who tried to defend him said: "I felt I had to show that I was standing by his side. I told the female passenger that it was a public place and that it was okay to take pictures."
In response, the attacking passenger approached her, continued to curse and even slapped her. As a result of the blow, the passenger's glasses flew off her face.

Passengers who witnessed the incident describe it as unusual and serious, and emphasize the need for public transportation personnel to be trained to deal with violent situations. According to them, professional and quick intervention by a driver or inspectors could have prevented the escalation.

Maged was given to Hai Pa in response:

The incident is known to us and was investigated using the bus cameras. It involved a passenger who boarded without paying, refused the visitors' offer to pay with credit and provided incorrect details. She then began to curse and spit at the visitors. The visitors, who noticed that she had a small child with her, exercised discretion and got off the bus without calling the police or issuing a fine. The visitors acted professionally and in accordance with procedures.

The police have yet to respond.

  1. Because the criminal was holding a small child, wasn't she punished?
    Tin police. Ugly souls.
This little boy will grow up to be just like her.

    • The police are protecting us all.
The girl probably didn't get a ticket.
      So they turned to her.
May each of us do good.
May we be worthy of a good atmosphere

  2. Poor inspectors! Stop the bus, call the police and it would all be over. Cowards with backup. If this is the protection that Egged inspectors and drivers receive, it is better not to use their services.

  3. Lahia defended the guy who took the picture and said it was a public place and therefore he was allowed to take pictures. So no.!!! It is forbidden to take pictures of people without their permission. But no one enforces the law and that probably also irritated her. Not that it justifies violence.

    • For your information, it is allowed to take pictures in a public place. You don't know the law, so please respond.

  4. The inspectors in Haifa turn public transportation into fear and terror and create another source of trauma. Evil creatures. They treat you in a disgraceful and degrading manner. It's a shame you don't write about this.

  5. Very true, I returned from work and discovered that I had lost the Rav Kav, I turned to the driver, (Eggad) I explained the situation to him and asked him to pay the driver, who refused, I put 20 shekels in the money cup, he took them and threw them on the floor, I documented everything, the 20 shekels disappeared, I did not receive any change from him, but at least I believed that I had covered myself from any argument of attempts to evade payment, when the driver, by actually throwing the money, offended a symbol of government and all his behavior, conduct and style of speech was under criticism. This is a sad reality, the drivers, although not all, but a significant part, are not worthy, qualified or should be public vehicle drivers.

  6. All day long, Egged inspectors yell at passengers and treat them in a disrespectful and disrespectful manner... but that's obviously not worth an article.

    • Cute. You are among them too!! If you don't say Bibist – you haven't come to your senses!! Keep going and keep going. As long as in your perception you like to hurt and invent labels – you won't get bored with the government!! It's been about 15 years and more, and you haven't learned a lesson. Well, who is really the Bibist here? The one who says this about others or the one who actually carries out Bibiism? The one who rejects – in Momo rejects!! According to what is happening in this country today – being a Bibist is actually a challenge. Who besides Bibi could manage what is happening in the country better than Bibi??? The war. Representation of the country in the United States? The open door in the White House whenever Bibi wants?
I don't know – I don't know you, but it seems to me that you don't feel what's going on around you at all. All in all, you're a person who is jealous of the BBists and frustrated by the inability to deal with the BBists and the country's success in the world.
      Is that true???
Without psychological treatment in the emotional field and the consequences of what happened to the large Jewish segment that lost its emotion in the Holocaust – there will be no progress. They will continue to live without emotion and feel on top of the world when "me and zero more" – and the rest of the population will suffer from the lack of the human emotion characteristic that does not exist in most camp survivors who grew up in homes without an emotional dimension for the fourth generation… What to do?? This happens when a part of the people went through a terrible trauma that destroyed emotion in them without being able to understand that they need treatment – but they look at the Bibiists. That's what interests them!! How long will we have mercy on you??

  7. We're tired of the inspectors, they just annoy and ruin the experience of riding the bus, and some inspectors are a nightmare. Anyone who has a car doesn't really know what's going on on the bus 😡

  8. What's the deal with the driver? The inspectors weren't successful with her, so what can he do? He needs to drive safely. At most, stop until all the violence ends.

  9. And what are 3 flowers doing on a bus that, by law, should be 2, the number of doors on autobahns, and they didn't call the police on the violent lady, crazy crazy

  10. Regardless of the event in question, there is a problem with payment matters.
It is said that I have been driving a private car my whole life and do not have a Rav-Kav or an app.
I'm stuck with my car and I need to get on a bus. How do I pay?
But even a regular passenger who uses an app and doesn't have a Rav Kav, comes home from work and discovers that his phone's battery is empty and the phone has turned off. How is he supposed to pay?

They used to pay with the driver, and thank God that is no longer the case, but back then there was the option of paying at stations with credit or cash.
Since then, this option has also been taken away from the occasional traveler.

    • Obviously the phone is always empty and you don't have a train attendant.
Say you are defending this violent sector.
      Are you crazy?!

    • Very true, I returned from work and discovered that I had lost the Rav Kav, I turned to the driver, (Eggad) I explained the situation to him and asked him to pay the driver, who refused, I put 20 shekels in the money cup, he took them and threw them on the floor, I documented everything, the 20 shekels disappeared, I did not receive any change from him, but at least I believed that I had covered myself from any argument of attempts to evade payment, when the driver, by actually throwing the money, offended a symbol of government and all his behavior, conduct and style of speech was under criticism. This is a sad reality, the drivers, although not all, but a significant part, are not worthy, qualified or should be public vehicle drivers.

    • Reply to Yael R.
      Understanding is a precious commodity.
Where did you see that I defended the attackers?

I mentioned a problem that has existed since passengers were deprived of the option to pay in cash or credit.

And you'd be surprised – many people don't have a Rav Kav because they don't use the Chabatz system, and even those who do use apps.

There are so many possibilities for something to go wrong. Why prevent the option of paying in cash or credit?

More than that – I once wanted to pay for someone, and I have no way to do so.

  11. There are cases of severely mentally ill people who are not treated with the state turning a blind eye. I am almost convinced that this is one of the cases, and therefore the inspectors gave up, and it is good that it is so.

  12. Getting off the bus without calling the police or writing a fine is not good judgment or professionalism. It is approving violent behavior in public.
The baby in her arms didn't stop her from, for example, slapping another woman hard.

    • Exactly. It's disturbing that the inspectors simply ignored her. They should have taken her down in handcuffs. As for the child, who grew up and was educated in violence, perhaps he can be saved from a criminal future only by the authorities treating his mother assertively.

    • A passenger who is not only abusive and violent towards inspectors and passengers, it is clear that the police are called unless she is mentally unstable. This is at the discretion of the inspectors who do their job professionally. And a driver cannot always intervene.

  13. Both verbal and physical violence are flowing from our House of Representatives/Knesset!!! into the public sphere and there is no savior…!! Think about who is at the head of our “National Guard”….who is he….what is he!!!….

    • There is no connection. People do not imitate the behavior of others, but their own. I assume you are not following the trend of a public/political figure. Keep your "opinion" as if it were political to yourself. Respond to the matter itself without deviation from the topic or unrelated personal matters.

  14. Shocking. Probably an unhappy woman and the baby is also unhappy with an unhealthy mother. Maybe in financial distress and the worst case scenario…. Maybe she was “in a crisis” for those who understand.
    😎.(Urgently need drugs).
The inspectors had to stop the ride and call the police, if only so that the mother's details could be passed on to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

    • The vast majority of the responsibility for your leniency in punishment for criminals and terrorists rests on your heads, Israeli judges.

    • The inspectors and drivers are always verbally attacked. This happens every day. Most of the public doesn't pay. The passenger simply gets on and sits down. The young people stand by the back door to get off quickly if an inspector gets on or sit by the validation device to pass a ticket if an inspector gets on. Driver

    • In your opinion, all law-abiding passengers should be held hostage, detained de facto, by what authority and on what basis.

  15. Poor little boy. Such an event affects
And maybe there will be similar events like this in the future.
I hope he doesn't turn out to be a criminal like the mother.

    • The National Guard is the need of the hour. When did you hear the minister swear? A respectful man. On the other hand, pay attention to the opposition benches, who screams endlessly, right? And it also has a shrill choir, so come on.

  16. In the eyes of the driver???
Really, oh my, poor thing, he'll probably ask for a pension now for post-traumatic stress disorder from seeing a passenger attack a police officer!
Is there anyone who is taking care of this poor driver?

  17. Violence is prohibited in any case.
But is it right to hire drivers and inspectors, some of whom never served in the army?
Inspector, police officer, public driver, security officer, etc. are positions that, in my opinion, require military service and a change in admission conditions in legislation.

    • Substandard inspectors, behaving wildly, no wonder a passenger lost her temper in front of them.

    • I wish you good health, but if you get sick, God forbid, ask that only veteran doctors treat you, even if they are less qualified.

    • So what, Tzipkala, and what about pharmacists, doctors, brothers and sisters, whom you also demand to join the army, we would see you receiving good medical care at Rambam if your demand were to exist in reality?

    • Once upon a time, a public vehicle driver was required to do military service before receiving a public vehicle license, but since the reform and thanks to the Likud ministers, we have a large number of drivers from East Jerusalem and the villages of the Galilee, most of whom don't even know a word of Hebrew, let alone how they drive... Thanks to the Likud and the reform in the Tchabtz!

    • How and why does this have to involve military service? I don't understand the rationale here.

    • I'm actually imagining an undiagnosed, kosher Jewish woman from a low socioeconomic class.
In my opinion, if there was an event here with national tension, it would have ended in beatings and arrests and what not.
I don't respect your racist insinuation.
