(Hai Fe) - An indictment has been filed against a Haifa resident on the suspicion that he violently assaulted a Matron driver and caused him bruises and a broken nose.
The police told Lai Pa:
The prosecution division of the Israel Police today (Tuesday 12/8/22) filed an indictment against a Haifa resident on suspicion of assaulting a metro driver and causing a broken nose.
The police started an investigation on 9/8/22 upon receiving a complaint from a matron driver that he was attacked by a passenger.

He attacked the driver with his fists
The investigation of the incident shows that after the driver warned the suspect passenger about his behavior, the suspect punched the driver and later punched him in the face, chest and legs, while threatening him and causing him many bruises and a broken nose.
Meanwhile, at the end of a strenuous investigation conducted at the Haifa police station, the station officers revealed the identity of the suspect in the act, a 31-year-old resident of Haifa, and arrested him for questioning at the police station in the city.
The suspect's detention was extended from time to time and today, as mentioned, the prosecution division of the Israel Police filed an indictment against him and a request for his detention until the end of the proceedings.
The matron's driver said in response to the filing of the indictment against the attacker: This is a positive process for people suffering from the epidemic of violence. This must be a lesson to anyone who thinks the bus driver is a punching bag. Today it's me, tomorrow it's another driver. I've been driving for 25 years and such phenomena are new to me. We are undoubtedly in a period of progress. I don't remember cases of violence against drivers in the past. If the attacker does get his punishment, I'll know I can come back. There must be a limit to such people. If not - I will be afraid to return.
Tam Fromovitz, head of the transportation branch for employees: We welcome the decision of the police and hope that justice will be done with the attacker, the support of the Matron drivers for their co-worker is exciting and their protest played a central role in exerting pressure to capture the attacker. Unfortunately, this case is no exception. As mentioned, just in the past year there was a 35% increase in assaults on drivers in Haifa. In most cases, driver assault cases were closed due to lack of public interest. Attacking drivers will not stop until drivers are recognized as public servants and their attackers are punished just like those who attack a doctor or a police officer. We will continue and promote this so that shocking cases like this will not happen again."

Let them make a public transport police responsible for these things
Nonsense.. He will receive a maximum of 6 months of community service.
This is not a country with real courts.. This is Kakameika courts.. If the driver was the father of a judge.. then..
I wonder how much of a man he will be in front of the judge
If he is Jewish, he will spend a few good years in prison and be fined for generations to come.
If he is Arab he will receive a grant from the National Insurance.
