Why isn't there a Haifa race like in the other big cities in Israel?

In all major cities, a happy and festive half-marathon race is traditionally held once a year, attended by runners and family members of all ages, school classes, individuals and groups.

There used to be a race in Haifa too, first in Carmel and later along the seashore. Thousands of runners participated in it, from Haifa and outside it, because there is nothing more joyful and heartwarming than a sporting, popular and social event like this kind of race. Unfortunately, since 2018 this wonderful event in Haifa has been cancelled.

In Dalit El Carmel there actually is

This year, Rafik Halavi, head of the Dalit Al Carmel Council, decided to renew and hold a half-marathon race in the settlement for the first time. The event, which was organized in an exemplary manner, attracted many runners, young and old, and despite the rain that fell that day, the atmosphere was especially sporty and happy.

So the question arises: why not in Haifa as well?
