Attack by a pig in Haifa
A resident of Haifa, about 71 years old, was bitten this evening by a wild boar near the Horev center.
The incident happened while a large pig was walking down the street. Several residents took pictures of him, when suddenly the pig approached the man, bit him on the leg and injured him.
The man needed medical treatment at the Carmel Hospital in Haifa, treatment that included a series of injections, including anti-rabies shots into the wound.
His condition is described as mild and he was released to his home.

Yesterday I walked with the dog in Neve Shanan Bachnelson,
A huge boar emerged from the bushes and locked on us, started chasing us with the aim of striking, without any provocation.
I grabbed the dog and started running with the pig behind us, until a tzaddik arrived with a car, stopped quickly and started honking to drive the pig away - and succeeded.
Thank you whoever you are.
Wild boars do not attack unless provoked or feel their young are threatened. Stop trying to get close to them and disaster will be avoided.
In my opinion, you should read signs when an animal is not interested in being touched just as a person would not want their face and limbs touched, why are animals always to blame and not behavior and misunderstanding for the invasion of their space?
Humans decide to invade and not respect the will of the animal and act in a wrong way and then when there is resistance from an honest animal they give a bad name to the animal who in general expresses his will and we don't notice, all the problems are from humans
Sorry to say this, but also the responsibility of taking steps that are not the same as animals is not pleasant to the other side, I also would not want them to touch me or put a hand over my face or ear and when I move away to the side and signal no!!! Still, they come to me again and try and it's annoying when they don't let you!! So don't expect no response.
Think about it...animals do know how to give a positive attitude, but you also have to respect a limit and not exaggerate, keep in mind that anyone can touch it with their nose if they want to and as much as they want and don't understand signals, the animals have the right not to allow him to be misled and the only way is that they signal and after sex they discourage And then go to their defense
It's just giving animals a bad name!!
Benoah Shanan Mahoadi to Rabbi Hanita Zion Shaul of the Middle and the Galilee arrives every evening that terrible pig. It destroys everything that is called in its path. 106 We receive a report and no one comes...
I would shoot them, wild boars "no more" than our children...
enough, enough enough!!! For the wild pigs that invade the gardens, the yards of the houses and destroy all the vegetation in episodes, enough!!! to the wild pigs that invade the streets and roads and endanger the health and safety of the residents. enough! enough! The problem needs treatment for a long time and it is good that it is done before people are physically harmed by accidents and diseases, etc.
Wild boars do not attack unless they are harassed excessively and/or pose a danger to the puppies. We do not know to what extent the same citizen who was bitten bullied and/or teased the pig. Even so, it is unlikely that a wild animal would roam freely in a residential environment.
We need to kill wild boars because they breed and are dangerous to the public, they are not domestic animals that can be taken care of. They destroy gardens, enter the yards of houses and destroy and throw litter in the streets. If they don't live, it doesn't do us any good, it's the fear that more people will be attacked.
It happens that the wild boars have no place when man invaded the natural areas, especially in the areas of Horev and Freud St. They took away their nature. So what's the wonder.
What's the problem with putting the wild pigs to sleep and moving them to the reserve in Carmel for all the hell or putting them in the living room of our mayor's house so that they grow up in her living room
A 71-year-old boy who claims that the pig attacked him, I am his neighbor and he regularly feeds pigs and tries in every way to photograph and document them and is looking for lawsuits from the municipality, a very unsympathetic person to say the least. On his face it seems that he was teasing the pig.
Twenty-five years as a forester in the Rhineland, I hereby declare that all the wild boars I have met have never been nature lovers, nor have they read studies on their properties
The beauties of the mind who claim that only those who approach the pig, the pig attacks!!!
After all, the pigs roam inside houses and gardens! So what to do when you see them? run away to the fields? The pigs come near you, what will you do, give them the street and the park? Maybe set up a unit that cleans up after the pigs, including overturned trash cans!
Caution! These pigs may be transmitting diseases!!!
Put them to sleep by shooting and transfer them to the wild
Maybe now that the wild boars are starting to reveal their sleep and stab innocent civilians.
Perhaps the members of the municipality who determine destinies will wake up in the sips.
And we can say blessedly that we got rid of the punishment of the wild boars.
For all the nature lovers and idiots. A pig is a very dangerous animal. In fact, they attacked a 71-year-old man and also an 11-year-old boy and killed dogs and caused damage and they roam the heart of the city. In the villages they are exterminated freely.
It's a shame they don't collect the wild boars and transport them in trucks to the wild in the forest and make sure to put them food that suits them and not garbage from garbage cans
Be thankful that you are not in India, where there are tigers in the forest and from time to time they come to hunt someone.
We are the real pigs.
The vast majority still do not attack and are not looking for any problems.
poor thing.. good health. Now what will they say in a hospital that has been bitten by Corona?
Well, where have we come...
For all lovers of nature and pigs - wild boar is in its place. Bar and the municipality must ensure complete separation
After all, according to the mayor and the ecological team, the pigs are not dangerous and the media is slanderous
Yona Yahav is not a friend of Klish
Until someone is killed here, nothing will change. Come on, go to the demonstrations now!!!!!
The pig is afraid of people. and runs away to the forest near my house. does not hurt When they try to hurt him, he also runs away. Only people didn't get used to it. He is just a hungry man who goes out to hunt a little bit. Do not hurt him.
I am a lover of nature and animals! And still claim that a wild boar will not hurt if they do not disturb him!!!
If such idiots stopped and took pictures, then what do you expect?
Guess you won't stand and take pictures, right? Because they understand that for the snake, whoever stands in front of him is a sign that he is about to be attacked. And so is a wild boar!!
Come on.. read some ferrets about animal behavior!!
You took their house from them (the forest in Sarima is gone) so what do you expect?
Keep harming nature..it will not only give you viruses and wild pigs..it will give you something else!!!
There are uneducated people here in the State of Israel!!
Just believe the things you see...not researching and not learning!!!
nonsense.
Wild boars don't just attack, people approach them and tease them.
Where are all the nature lovers who claim that this is a cute and cowardly animal?! Last night in Neve Shanan a huge pig ran after and after the dog. It just pounced on us out of nowhere, without any provocation, there were no puppies around and no one "started" with it. rushed after us with the aim of striking. Only after I started shouting and stomping my feet did he stop and after a few seconds he felt he had scared us enough, turned back and left.
fear of god And the lack of treatment by the municipality is simply one big omission. Tying up bins and putting up signs "Haifai wild pig in front of you" as if it's some cute attraction, doesn't stop them from attacking if they decide to do it.
What else needs to happen for someone in the municipality to wake up and start taking care of *pigs* instead of everything around???
Returned a friend of Klish
Was the pig on the way to Ramot Sapir?
