(Haipo) – A 20-year-old man was injured this evening (Wednesday, August 19, 2026) in a stabbing incident on Derech Acre Haifa Street in Kiryat Bialik. The young man was evacuated by Magen David Adom teams to Rambam Hospital in moderate condition with penetrating injuries. The police have opened an investigation and the background to the incident is apparently criminal.
MDA teams arrived at the scene and provided medical treatment to the injured man.
At 18:07 PM, a report was received at the 101 Magen David Adom hotline in the Carmel area about an injured person from a violent incident on the street of Derech Acre-Haifa in Kiryat Bialik. MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the scene of the incident, provided initial medical treatment to a 20-year-old man who was injured and evacuated him to Rambam Hospital. The young man's condition was described as moderate with penetrating injuries to his body.
The police have launched an investigation and are searching for suspects.
The Zevulun police station began investigating the incident immediately upon receiving the report of the stabbing. According to spokeswomen for the Israel Police, the officers began collecting evidence at the scene and searching for suspects involved in the incident. The background to the stabbing incident is apparently criminal, and its exact circumstances are still under investigation. The police stated that additional details will be provided later as the investigation progresses.
