(haipo) – Last weekend, a unique youth soccer tournament was held in Haifa, initiated by organization The Pioneer – Education through Sports, which succeeded in proving that sport is much more than a competition for goals. Alongside tense and competitive games, the tournament gave central importance to the values of fairness, respect and conduct on the field, values that became an integral part of the experience.
Beit Yatziv won the tournament — Beit Ressler won fairly.
Five teams from youth settings across the city participated in the tournament: Beit Resler, Beit Yatziv, Beit Hadar and two teams from the Shalva Youth Center. After an intensive qualifying round and close matches, the team was crowned Stable house To the 2026 tournament champion.
Alongside the sporting achievement, the team particularly stood out. Ressler House, which won the title of the fairest team after accumulating the highest number of green cards, cards awarded to players who demonstrated respect for the opponent, teamwork, support for teammates, and accepting the referee's decisions in a good spirit.

The Green Card: When Behavior Matters as Much as the Result
During the games, the referees handed out green cards to players who demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship. The goal: to emphasize that the path is just as important as the result. Moments of pressure, disagreements, or mistakes became opportunities for learning, discussion, and the development of personal and team responsibility.
