At the initiative of the Senior Citizens Division at MILAB and the Haifa Municipality, and with the coordination and blessing of Mayor Yona Yahav, a large-scale employment and entrepreneurship fair for men and women 60+ will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The fair's goal is to enable senior citizens to open the door to new employment opportunities, develop personal initiatives, change professional direction, and even improve their economic well-being and quality of life.
Broad cooperation for the elderly
The fair is held in cooperation with the Department for Senior Citizens at the Military Veterans' Association, the Employment Opportunity Center in the Haifa Municipality, the Employment Service, National Insurance, the App 60+ Center, the Shilo Association, and the Shmuel Gantz Assistance Center, in the Pensioners' Lobby.
Mayor Yona Yahav will honor the event with his presence, cut the ribbon, and declare the fair open.
During the fair, senior citizens will meet with many employers from a variety of fields, receive professional information, benefit from personal guidance and employment counseling, and be exposed to new opportunities for integration into the labor market or for developing independent initiatives, all in an accessible, focused space tailored to those aged 60+.

Tools and inspiration for the next stage in life
At the center of the event will be a free keynote lecture by Matan Khudorov, the economic commentator for News 13, under the title: "In the Shadow of Changes in the Labor Market: Opportunities and Challenges for Employment in the Third Age," a lecture that will deal with trends, barriers and new possibilities for those aged 60+ in a changing labor market.
In addition, a lecture Eyal Maccabi, entrepreneur and CEO of Projectime, will be held under the title: "Entrepreneurship after retirement and starting a project or personal venture," which will deal with establishing a personal venture in old age, breaking myths and practical tools for a new beginning.

The fair is designed to connect rich life experience with current employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, and to allow senior citizens to receive information, meet employers, hear leading lectures, and take a significant step toward employment, entrepreneurship, and income supplementation.
