A unique activity for 11th-12th grade students who are facing matriculation exams and recruitment to the IDF • A new program of the Municipality of Haifa
The program includes 3 days of activity per week, will take place in open spaces, according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, using urban resources and turning the city into a learning space that invites an innovative and tailored learning experience that will include, among other things, tours around the city guided by Haifa museums, meetings at the municipal theater in the open space, exit to the sea through the maritime center and preparatory meetings for the IDF with an emphasis on the Navy.

Sports, technology, and culture
The program will also include diverse sports activities that will take place in the open sports facilities, meetings with engineers and researchers at high-tech companies, which will expose the students to an innovative and technological world in the fields of biomedicine, artificial intelligence, virtual worlds, and the latest developments in the world of science, as part of dealing with the Corona epidemic. All this through digital means and integrated learning.
The phasing program will work alongside distance learning and will respond to the students' need for a social gathering and as part of a process of gradual return to the classroom. Sigal Tzioni, a member of the city council and holder of the education portfolio in the Haifa municipality, thanked the education administration, the school principals and the teaching staff, the Haifa Theater, the high-tech companies and all the other partners who take part in the program.

Sigal Zioni:
Students in grades 11-12 are facing a challenging period of matriculation exams alongside preparations for recruitment to the IDF and service in the various formats, and it is our duty to provide them with the relevant lessons and to strengthen them, beyond the educational pedagogical work, both socially and emotionally, through meetings and a warm personal relationship with characters significant in their lives that will take place under the restrictions of the Corona epidemic. This is an activity of great importance that will allow the students to return to a sane and healthy routine, while strictly observing the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
Beauty and strength for the initiative to encourage the boys and girls a little. I hope the program will be launched in the coming days. Water to the soul came from their stay at home. Loneliness and boredom.
Good initiative.
