The Ministry of Education publishes the pedagogical plan for the academic year 2018:
Work on reducing educational gaps from last year, emphasis on transitions between age divisions, publication of matriculation subjects, matriculation dates, focus on matriculation, administrative and pedagogical flexibility, as well as the establishment of distance learning.
In preparation for the opening of the 2018 school year, the Ministry of Education is publishing today (Monday) the pedagogical program that will accompany the upcoming school year, against the background of the fight against the corona virus.
Strengthening the manager's position
The school year will be characterized by administrative and pedagogical flexibility, to allow the directors of the educational institutions to lead the educational activities in their own way. Meanwhile, over the next few years the ministry will lead a series of moves to strengthen the position of the principal, including: reducing control over the schools and expanding the scope of powers and resources that will be at his disposal.
The digital learning system
As part of the school routine and the adaptation of the system to learning in the 21st century, the ministry is laying a long-term infrastructure for the digital learning system, making it a significant pillar within the teaching core.
In the 2018 academic year, the ministry will strengthen the students' connection, identity and love for their country, their heritage and the history of the State of Israel, and the ministry will also work to strengthen the significant value of recruiting for the IDF.
At the beginning of the school year:
▪ The study material will be completed and gaps from the previous year will be closed.
▪ An internal mapping will be done to identify learning gaps: it is recommended to use the internal tools developed by RAMA (National Authority for Learning and Assessment).
