The direct and grim result is that Israel is de facto becoming a decentralized “state of cantons,” isolated enclaves where the deterrent power of the Israel Police and law enforcement agencies is almost nonexistent, as we have already painfully learned in the severe violent incidents of recent years.
Alongside the loss of land and police control, the wide-ranging demographic danger between the sea and the Jordan is also becoming more acute. Approximately 6 million Arab residents live in the territories of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, and over 2 million Arab citizens live within the Green Line. This is a human mass that includes approximately 8 million Arabs and 8 million Jews in the area between the Jordan and the sea, a figure that presents an unprecedented and disturbing demographic imbalance with the Jewish population.
The deadly combination of a tense demographic balance, a complete loss of control over the Negev lands, and the weakening of the social fabric in the mixed cities is no longer a local nuisance that can be contained. It is a strategic threat of the first order. Without root causes, iron-clad enforcement, and the restoration of governance at all costs, the holes in Israel's map will continue to grow, until the entire national structure collapses.

Here we are talking about 11 mixed cities. We need to pay attention to other cities throughout the Land of Israel where Arab immigration is beginning, which may lead to Jews leaving first the building, then the neighborhood, then the city, which may slowly turn from Jewish to mixed. We need to pay attention, for example, to Haifa, which was a mixed city, but still had segregated neighborhoods, and the situation is slowly deteriorating (not necessarily always security-related, but demographic/national) and the neighborhoods have become and are becoming mixed. Arabs are buying and renting apartments in them, and this is legal from their perspective, but it is unfair.
In practice today, mainly ultra-Orthodox cities and settlements manage to maintain a Jewish character, while secular cities, if you can call them that, are depraved and their character is not protected.
The leaders of the country must make fateful decisions, and if not for a two-state solution for two peoples, then at least for the declaration of Jewish cities where Arabs will not be able to live, and on the other hand, Arab cities where Jews will not be able to live (which in practice happens a lot there), and there will be 11 mixed cities, as listed here, open to residence for the entire population when a choice is given, and in them too Jewish/Arab/mixed neighborhoods will be declared.
And every person and family will choose where to build their home and buy/rent an apartment without fear that their city/neighborhood will eventually change its appearance.
The state also needs to build a large, developed Arab city for hundreds of thousands of Arabs with high-rise construction so that they can purchase quality apartments and also provide them with housing solutions, good schools for their children, and employment solutions without the need to go to Jewish cities.
This is challenging and requires budgets, but otherwise, in my opinion, without constitutional intervention, the next generation will most likely find itself living in a binational state in even larger parts, and the cantons here that have been described negatively will also shrink further.
