Double ambush in Haifa: Huge drug lab uncovered and commercial quantities of drugs seized

(Haipo) – Detectives from the Zevulun Police Station in the "Asher" area uncovered a "Hydro" drug lab in a residential apartment in Kiryat Haim in a double operation, and in another raid in Kiryat Shmuel, unusual commercial quantities of various types of drugs were seized. Two suspects were arrested and imprisoned.

As part of the Israel Police's determined fight against the drug scourge, and especially against drug trafficking and production offenses, detectives from the Zevulun Station carried out an operational activity in Kiryat Haim. The detectives raided a residential apartment that was used as a hydroponic growing laboratory, and discovered nearly 300 marijuana plants weighing a total of over 60 kilograms. The suspect in the operation was arrested by the forces and imprisoned. This was a laboratory on a significant scale that operated from an apparently normal residential apartment.

Unusual commercial quantities of drugs seized in Kiryat Shmuel

In another raid carried out by detectives in Kiryat Shmuel, another suspect was arrested and an unusual commercial quantity of substances suspected of being various types of drugs was discovered in his apartment. Among the seized items were hundreds of grams of crystal meth and MD, over a kilogram of hashish, ecstasy pills and electronic scales that were suspected of being intended for trafficking and distribution. The two suspects were arrested and imprisoned, and in accordance with the needs of the investigation, the police will request an extension of their detention. The Israel Police stated that "the police will continue to use all intelligence and operational means at its disposal to stop the distribution of drugs and damage the economic infrastructure of those responsible for the crime."
