(haipo) – In the hot days of August, when temperatures are climbing and humidity is oppressive, the Israel Land Authority, through the Open Space Preservation Fund, invites the public to get out of the house and explore a series of spectacular natural sites that have been restored, nurtured and improved in recent years. Streams, springs, beaches and nature reserves have become inviting havens, with comfortable walking paths, shaded seating areas, footbridges over flowing water and recreational areas for the whole family. All sites are open to the public Free, and Rami calls on travelers to come, enjoy and leave nature clean.

Lower Jordan – Living nature, flowing water and pastoral scenery
The Jordan Valley Reserve, which extends for about 10 km between the Degania Dam and Naharayim, offers a walking trail and an accessible promenade suitable for the whole family. Along the way, you will find wading areas in the river water, culverts over flowing water, spectacular observation points and artificial islands. The ecological restoration carried out at the site includes the return of flora and fauna species, the development of trails, regulated parking lots and signage, all funded by the Open Spaces Preservation Fund.

Hula Canal Park – a flowing stream, green grass and a path accessible to all
Between Yesod HaMa'ala and Gesher HaPek and Gesher Lehavot stretches a spectacular nature park, approximately 12 km long. The historic canal, which was dug in the 50s, has become a natural stream with a moderate flow and a meandering appearance. The park offers accessible promenades and paths, regulated parking, shaded seating areas and wide grassy areas. As part of the restoration, extensive work was carried out to improve water quality, widen the channel, plant local riparian vegetation and establish recreational infrastructure.

The Land of Golan Springs – Ein Orha and Ein Alamein
Two magical springs in the heart of the Golan Heights offer natural wading pools, rich stream vegetation, and walking and cycling trails connecting the points of interest. RAMI invested in comprehensive ecological restoration: separating spring heads from swimming pools, blocking vehicles, keeping cattle away, removing invasive species, and restoring the spring structures. Along with this, parking lots, access roads, and detailed signage were arranged.

Ein Yivaka – Horse Spring in Nahal Zippori
One of the most beautiful spots in the Galilee: a spring flows into an ancient pool from the Roman period, whose clear waters are colored a spectacular emerald hue. The site includes shaded seating areas, a walking promenade along the stream, and bridges connecting heritage properties such as the monks' mill. As part of the restoration, the pool was thoroughly cleaned, vehicle access was blocked, and recreational and safety infrastructure was restored.

Adad Spring – Nature and Heritage in the Jezreel Valley
Near Moshav Yogev lies Ma'ayan Adad, a clear pool of water and a flowing stream alongside a historic pump house with spectacular murals. The site offers a combination of renewable nature and local heritage, with shaded seating areas, rich stream vegetation, and comprehensive hydrological restoration to improve water clarity.

Wilhelm Bridge and Jisr a-Zarqa Promenade – “The Israeli Sinai”
A spectacular 650-meter-long promenade above a wild beach, with views of the fishing port, palm groves and breathtaking sunsets. Visitors can stroll among shady resting areas, walking and cycling paths, and discover the unique ecosystem of the groves. The historic Wilhelm Bridge has been restored and allows pedestrian crossing over the Taninim Stream.

Ashdod-Yam Fortress – Wild Nature on the Coastline
An ecological park spanning 300 dunams and combining golden dunes, remains of an ancient fortress, walking trails and observation of deer and other animals. Along the trails, explanatory signs, shaded resting areas and observation areas have been placed. The park is accessible and offers a unique nature experience for the whole family.
Yehuda Eliyahu, Deputy Director of the National Park Service and Chairman of the Open Space Conservation Foundation: “Especially on hot summer days, we are pleased to invite the Israeli public to enjoy nature sites, springs and streams that have been upgraded and made accessible throughout the country. The extensive investment, amounting to over a billion shekels, makes it possible to combine the development of the country with the preservation of natural and heritage values. We will continue to cultivate green and open spaces for the benefit of the public and future generations.”
