An evening of Torah, connection, and an open atmosphere facing the sea
This coming Shavuot night, an evening open to the general public will be held in the Bat Galim neighborhood in Haifa, combining Torah study and inner life, in-depth conversations, study in friendship, in-depth conversations, coffee, wine, and a warm and welcoming holiday atmosphere. The event invites young and old from all walks of life: religious, traditional, and secular, to meet around shared study and an informal community experience.
A year for the “When the light comes” group
The event is being held as part of the “Ki Ba Orech” study group, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary in Haifa. The group was born last Shavuot night from a small gathering of study and conversation, and gradually became an active community space open to anyone seeking connection, spiritual renewal, and a human encounter at eye level.
According to group participants, the meetings combine in-depth Jewish study with a pleasant, non-binding atmosphere, where anyone can find a place, even without a prior background in Torah study.
Open to everyone – no prior experience required
An evening open to all, no prior knowledge or familiarity with the world of learning is required. “The idea is to open the heart and the door to anyone looking for a pleasant and meaningful way to enter the holiday.” During the evening, there will be learning in friendship, open conversations, shared singing, and time for social gatherings in a homely atmosphere.
