The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection report unusual results in water sampling to examine the state of pollution in streams in the north of the country, and inform travelers and local authorities that entering these streams may be dangerous.
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection informed Lahi Pa:
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection are informing the traveling public and the regional and local councils of unusual results in water sampling carried out to examine the state of pollution in the streams in the north. In the tests for bacteria in the samples from May 29, 2023, results were found in several streams in the north that exceed the recommendations of the Ministry of Health (400 faecal sounds in 100 ml) and indicate the presence of contamination in the water.
The results obtained:
- Shanir (Hatsbani) - hydroelectric station: 660; Estuary to Jordan: 1,220.
- Jordan - Gesher Lehavot HaBshan: 750, Gesher HaHahime: 6,800, Gesher Hori: 870, Jordan from Masad Atart: 550: Gesher Yosef: 970
- Zaki: 830
- The hexagon pool: 1,160
- El Al - the waterfall pool: 460, black waterfall: 500
- Yehudia - Yehudia waterfall: 460
- Zalmon - flour station: 1,100
- Kaziv - Mustard: 650
- Gaaton - Horva parking lot: 450
In view of these results, entering these streams may be dangerous until the obtained sampling results are normal and stable:
- Shanir (Hatsbani) - a hydroelectric station up to the confluence with the Jordan
- Jordan - from Gesher Yosef to Masad Ataret
- Zaki
- The hexagon pool
- Al Al
- Yehudia - Yehudia waterfall
- Tsalmon - a flour station
- False - mustard
- Gaaton - Horva parking lot
The Ministry of Environmental Protection found no known source of pollution in the streams.
Sampling is carried out from one sample every two weeks through Nature and Parks Authority inspectors, at fixed sampling points in the northern streams (Upper Galilee, Golan and Western Galilee). The dots represent a waterfall, a pond or a section of a stream.
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection continue sampling and monitoring and will update as needed.
I wonder why this happens? Good Morning
Sad but we got used to it in recent years.
I wonder why this happens
Sewage and drying (due to over-pumping) - damage both the health of the streams and their ability to recover.
