We are not alone…
When we gaze at the sky at night and see stars, the thought immediately crosses our mind that we are not alone.
And that brings me to the website of the "Israeli Center for UFO Research named after the late Avi Greif". There are reports there about people who looked up and saw what they saw and rushed to run and tell their friends. That is, to report to the website. Here is one of the reports: On the road between Megiddo and the city of Nesher. The date: July 12, 2011. "The witness, 37, is a musician and theater artist. He did not believe in the existence of UFOs and used to mock those who believed. In the evening, while driving from Megiddo to Haifa, he noticed an unusual light above him. Later, he realized that the light was accompanying him while driving. The light accompanied him as far as Kibbutz Yagur and then appeared above Nesher. According to him, the UFO had the shape of a 'large fluorescent'. At first, the UFO was to the right of the road and then it appeared to his left. The information was provided by his friend Ihab."
Here is another report about UFOs. The date: June 5, 2011. The report came from Haifa, to show you that there are people in our city who look up too. A man we will call G went out to smoke on the roof of his house. It was about 2:30 when G noticed that a structure of lights was moving towards him from the east, high in the sky, although much lower than the altitude of a satellite flight. The lights passed right above him, heading west.
It was a structure of lights in red, blue, and white, flashing at an irregular rate and flying fast. J. quite clearly noticed that the structure had the shape of a triangle, although sometimes red lights were seen outside this shape. The observation lasted between two and three minutes. J. emphasized that the surroundings were completely quiet at that time, so he was sure that the structure of lights flew in complete silence.
According to the report, J. was excited. He couldn't sleep, so he went online, where he found a video taken in 2007 in the United States, showing an object similar to what he saw. And here is the definitive proof: J. served as an air traffic controller in the Air Force.
And something personal: A UFO researcher claimed to me many years ago that a UFO had also landed on the Haifa beach. I accompanied her to the beach in front of the houses in the Kiryat Shprinzak neighborhood. She pointed to a white marking in the shape of an X on the ground and claimed that the UFO had landed in the center of the marking. What shape was it? She couldn't say. She also didn't claim to have been present at the time of this special event, but her firm belief could not be questioned (see photo. Uri Sharon next to her).

The worker walks on his food.
In the book: "Haifa - Dictionary of the Present City" published by the Haifa City Museum, I read the following ad: "Food supplement for construction and public works workers." This does not mean that construction and public works workers were hungry, but a food supplement could not have been harmful in the early 50s, when the ad was published. The ad was published by the secretariat of the Construction Workers' Association, which is attached to the Haifa Workers' Council. According to the ad, registration for a food supplement will take place from Sunday to Thursday, September 11 to September 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the association's secretariat rooms. For building materials workers, in the section room. Residents of the Krayot will register at the office apartment in Motzkin on the above dates and times. Members must bring their voucher book and insurance fund book to register." So enjoy your meal.
Quiet, come on, quiet!!!
Below is a message that was distributed in thousands of copies in Haifa. It is signed by Mayor Abba Khushi. Date: July 16, 1953. And it reads as follows:
"Dear citizen, I am forced to turn to you and ask for your kind help in maintaining the peace. You will surely remember that two years ago, at the request of many citizens, we carried out the important task of maintaining peace in the city. With the help of the kind drivers, who showed great understanding of our appeal, the honking of car horns was stopped. We issued a special by-law, prohibiting the use of horns, loudspeakers, and disturbing the peace in any way, including interference by radio receivers.
"Unfortunately, I must point out that recently some drivers have allowed themselves to violate the law and use their horns. There are also quite a few citizens who allow themselves, without being asked, to 'enjoy' (the intention is to cause enjoyment, in quotation marks) their neighbors with other 'musical noises' from their radios. Precisely at a time when they want to rest or read a book, and all of this is against the law."
The mayor further notes that Haifa is the city of work and the port. And because of the importance of this flattering title, I will repeat it once again: "Our city is the city of work and the port," and its citizens are entitled to rest when they want after a hard day's work, and there is no permission to disturb their rest.
Quote: "I would like to draw your attention to the fact that any citizen may complain to us about any person who disturbs their peace and quiet in any way. You only need to write to us the day, time and address on which someone violated the law of peace and quiet. In addition to the complainant, one more witness is required." Here, Abba Khushi points out that the municipality does not want to resort to lawsuits and fines, and therefore it is addressing the resident as a conscious citizen who wants peace and quiet. "We are confident that you will fulfill your civic duty and stand with us to guard peace and quiet in our city," the mayor of Haifa concludes his statement. And where is the overwhelming evidence that Abba Khushi's influence was very great and that it is still evident today? In the fact that to this day Haifa is quiet and calm.
By the way, following the recent elections and the eagerness to become a member of Knesset: Abba Khushi was elected to the first Knesset (on behalf of Mapai). He served in it from mid-February 1949 to early 1951. In mid-January 1951, he was elected mayor of Haifa, and therefore resigned from the Knesset, even though there was no law that required it. He justified his resignation from the Knesset on the grounds that it was not appropriate to serve in both of these positions, and that he should be entirely free to run the city.
The document is taken from the archives of the Haifa Workers' Council. It was published thanks to the late Dr. Eli Nachmias.
