(haipo) The Ministry of Health warns the public against purchasing and using injectables containing hyaluronic acid, after thousands of packages were stolen about a month ago from the warehouses of AlphaMedics and OmangaMedics Ltd. There is concern that the products are being illegally marketed in Israel to clinics, aesthetic institutes, and private doctors.
Concern about health risks due to poor storage conditions
Among the stolen products are injection materials of the following types:
Radiessp, Stylage Special Lips Lido, Stylage XL Lido, Stylage L, Stylage M Lido, Stylage L Lido and Stylage XXL Mepi.
These are products that require storage and transportation under controlled conditions, and it cannot be guaranteed that these conditions were maintained after their theft. The Ministry of Health emphasizes that the use of injectable materials purchased from unauthorized sources, without supervision and contrary to the instructions for use, may pose a significant health risk to patients.
Calling professionals and the public to exercise caution
The Ministry of Health calls on professionals in the field of aesthetic medicine to ensure that they purchase products only from licensed suppliers, and on the patient public to ensure that treatments are performed using products whose origin is regulated and supervised.
In any case of suspicion of the marketing of the aforementioned products, encountering products of unknown origin, or the appearance of side effects following their use, you can report them to the Health Voice hotline by calling *5400.
