(Haipo) – During the second week of July 2026, the Israel Police carried out a large-scale operational activity in the city of Haifa, with an emphasis on the Hadar Carmel neighborhood, as part of the fight against crime. During the activity, eight suspects were arrested and drugs, a knife, cash, and checks worth tens of thousands of shekels were seized.
A combined operation involving police and Border Guard forces
The operational activity took place with the participation of Carmel Region police officers and Mt.Ilan fighters from the Border Guard's tactical division, led by the deputy commander of the Carmel Region. During the activity, several targeted searches were carried out that led to the arrest of eight suspects. The searches revealed numerous findings, including tens of thousands of shekels in cash suspected of being proceeds from criminal activity, thousands of additional shekels in cash, hundreds of euros, 15 checks, and additional checks in amounts of thousands of shekels. In addition, substances suspected of being cannabis, hashish, and heroin were seized, as well as a knife.
The suspects were transferred for questioning – the police will request an extension of detention
All suspects arrested during the operation were transferred for questioning at the police station, and depending on the needs of the investigation and its findings, the police will request an extension of their detention in court. The Israel Police stated that it will continue to act decisively, proactively and aggressively, against the perpetrators of crime in the Haifa area, and in particular in the Hadar neighborhood, using all operational, intelligence and technological means, with the aim of strengthening governance, damaging the economic axis of the criminal elements, and ensuring public safety.

Sale! This is irrelevant!!
There should be a routine or actual operation of daily policing in areas prone to and suffering from this crime.
The Talpiot market area is infected and bleeding from this crime.
Searching apartments with a submachine gun or an automatic assault rifle is not fighting crime, but a fantasy come true for one of the unnecessary militia units – or perhaps for the minister in charge of it.
And police officers walking around masked are a collection of potential criminals themselves.
😍"Congratulations" to the "Israel Police" for every "victory" in the "fight" against "criminal terrorism", which impoverishes and severely harms the "security of residents" & the "quality of life" in the "Haifa Metropolis"...🙏😭
*👀 May God bless you!!! = Always! Constantly!
8 suspects…is that the whole "operation"? It takes the whole year.
The police will request an extension of detention and some judge who is afraid of criminal gangs will release them to house arrest and from there the case will dissolve and they will receive community service or a short suspended sentence. The rot in the courts in Israel has turned us into a paradise for crime. Everyone already understands this, but those who sit in the meat and fat pot of rotten legalization are not ready for any change. This is the number 1 problem in the country.
Do you understand that the reform is not about that at all? In no way? It is about weakening the judicial system and subordinating it to the political elite to allow them to commit crimes of power and corruption. In fact, the reform that the Medela presented is great for criminals, because a weak judge who is subordinate to a minister who is himself a criminal is wonderful for them.
Poor harvest.
Commanders, may God bless you, there is no denial, all due respect to the Israeli government and Haifa.
Why isn't the IRS involved in these investigations?
There is a ground floor apartment on Shfaram Street that has been turned into a drug station. The funniest thing is the police station. They throw away what they have and return to activity.
I think that in order to eradicate crime
That is rampant in Hadar, we must seal off the shops and apartments that are broken into and not legally occupied so they cannot hide and settle there!
First of all, seal the biggest loophole for crime, which is the courts, and a revolving door for crime without sufficient deterrence in punishment. We need to seize property that is laundered in the restaurant business in the tens of millions of shekels, not just luxury vehicles. Every criminal has a restaurant through which he launders the money and which serves as a base of operations for protection and alcohol and drugs.
It's a joke that citizens are being charged a security fee, and the one who enforces it is the Israeli regime and the Haifa Municipality. A disgrace, reaping profit at the expense of citizens. Legal theft under the protection of the law.
And what about Masada Street, where Masada 19 is, in front of the stores, there's a place where they take out and sell children, too? It's a drug station in Haifa. It's time to eliminate it.
