Increased monitoring and area scans in the fire area
The Haifa Bay Cities Association for Environmental Protection is monitoring air quality data measured at monitoring stations in the area. At the same time, the association's teams went out into the field with mobile monitoring equipment to measure particle concentrations in the air, in order to examine the effects of the fire in various areas depending on the wind direction, the spread of smoke, and in populated areas where continuous monitoring is not available. During the scans, high particle concentrations were measured in several locations, including the entrance to Kibbutz Yagur, where a strong smell of fire was felt. The association is in close cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and continues to monitor developments on the ground and examine the monitoring data in real time.

The union's CEO: "We provide a professional snapshot in real time"
Dr. Lihi Shahar Berman, CEO of the Haifa Bay Cities Association for Environmental Protection, said: "Immediately upon receiving the report of the fire, the union's teams operated in the field and carried out increased monitoring of air quality alongside continuous monitoring of the monitoring stations in the area. Our goal is to provide a professional and up-to-date picture of the situation in real time, to identify any anomalies and to ensure that the relevant information is conveyed to the public and emergency agencies quickly and transparently. We transferred data to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, which sent teams of drivers, and we will update later according to developments."
