The holistic model at "Beit Ruth" that builds confidence, resilience, and academic success for every student
In the heart of the Kiryat Sefer neighborhood in Haifa, one of the unique centers in Israel for improving learning and providing emotional support to children and teenagers with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders has been operating for more than four decades. "Ruth's House", an institute for diagnostics and adapted teaching, offers a rare holistic model that combines professional teaching, emotional therapy and family support, all under one roof and in full cooperation with the schools. For hundreds of families, this is the place where the child not only improves grades, but rediscovers confidence, resilience and faith in his abilities.
"Beit Ruth": An envelope that understands the child deeply
At "Beit Ruth" we know that academic difficulty is only part of the picture. Behind a challenge in reading, writing or math, there is often ongoing frustration, a decline in self-confidence and difficulties with organization. Therefore, the institute's approach is based on a broad vision: Not only to improve achievements, but to strengthen the child from within.
The center offers a personalized program for each student, carefully tailored to their level of gaps, interests, and emotional needs. The 45-minute lessons – an optimal length of time for maintaining concentration and efficiency – are held twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
Each child has a responsible teacher who accompanies him and his family, and maintains continuous contact with the school staff. This creates complete synchronization between all factors in the child's life, ensuring consistent progress and a sense of stability.

Four professional units under one roof
To provide a comprehensive response, "Beit Ruth" operates through four complementary units:
- Diagnostics Unit – Comprehensive didactic and psychodidactic diagnoses to locate the source of the difficulty.
- Adapted teaching unit – Remedial teaching, improving learning functions, English, mathematics and language.
- Emotional therapy unit – Various therapies, strengthening mental resilience, organization and personal training.
- Parent Training Unit and External Training – Supporting families and transferring learning strategies to teaching teams.

Bat El Saar, Director of "Beit Ruth": "When a family comes to us, they bring the most precious thing in the world to them, their child. Parents are not just looking for an improvement in grades, but a true partner on the journey. We see the child, his heart and his challenge, and we don't give up on him. Our goal is to build a personal plan for him that will give him the confidence and tools to become an independent learner who believes in himself."
