Ram Moasi from Haifa won third place in the Israeli Rapid Chess Championship.

(Haipo) – Ram Moasi, a young chess player from the Haifa and Neighborhoods Club, won third place in the 2026 National Rapid Chess Championship for Under-10s. The championship was held in Ramat Gan on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with the participation of the best young chess players from the largest clubs in the country. Ram, the reigning Northern Champion in chess under the age of 10, trains under the guidance of masters Vladimir Weinstein and Jihad Zoabi.

An exciting and challenging competition in Ramat Gan

The 2026 National Rapid Chess Championship for Under-10s took place in Ramat Gan on Sunday, bringing together the best young talents from all over the country. Ram Moasi, a representative of the Haifa and Neighborhoods Club, arrived at the competition with significant competitive experience behind him, including the title of reigning Northern Champion in chess under the age of 10. During the exciting competition, which was characterized by an atmosphere full of challenges and strategic thinking, Ram was able to demonstrate his extraordinary talent and high concentration against the best of his peers in the country, and ended the day with a respectable bronze medal.
