These bins join the additional recycling bins available at the recycling stations scattered throughout the city, which include bins for recycling glass, paper, trimmings and electronics. The orange containers are intended for packaging waste, with the aim of reducing the amount of waste generated from packaging, preventing its landfilling and reducing the negative environmental impact. The orange bins are equipped with volume sensors and they will transmit information in real time about the rate of filling the bin and thus support the provision of optimal service to the resident and also help with operational efficiency.
