The Ministry of Education and the district administration chose to recommend Kiryat Ata as the district's candidate for the National Education Award for the 2015 academic year. According to the Ministry of Education, the authority was chosen to represent the district thanks to its efforts, investment
and an effort in promoting educational programs and broad activities on a daily basis, fostering formative social values, promoting social involvement in the community, strengthening emotional resilience and a sense of belonging, creating an educational continuum, promoting learning processes and accumulating achievements.
Mayor Yaakov Peretz:
We see education as the main factor that brings about a change in the quality of life in the city and for that we invest the most resources in implementing unique study programs, alongside enrichment programs and physical development of the educational institutions.
