The Haifa Economic Society, in collaboration with the Employment Service, the Socio-Economic Forum and Infinity Labs R&D, are launching a new strategic move aimed at strengthening technological human capital in the north and placing Haifa at the forefront of Israel's defense technology industry. As part of a wide-ranging collaboration, the career track is launched AI Software Engineer – Intensive, professional and free training for those who qualify, at the end of which graduates will be integrated into development positions in leading security and high-tech companies in Haifa and the northern region.
The strategic move: Strengthening technological human capital in the North
The new initiative is designed to address the growing need for software engineers specializing in the world of artificial intelligence, and to create a direct path between talented young people from the region and development positions at the core of security and technological activity in Israel.
The track is intended for holders of a full high school diploma that includes 5 credits in English, mathematics and physics or computer science, who have a technological affinity and are highly motivated to integrate into the world of development. The training will be provided by Infinity Labs R&D at its development center next to the Haifa Technical University, and will last 32 intensive weeks.
Training that simulates real R&D teams
Unlike training programs that focus solely on learning programming languages, the new track was built with the understanding that the role of the software engineer is changing. Organizations are now looking for developers who are able to understand complex systems, design architecture, solve engineering problems, and use AI tools to develop software in a smart, fast, and high-quality manner.
During the training, participants will tackle real projects, work with advanced development tools, receive preparation for job interviews and professional guidance, and upon completion, they will be integrated into jobs at deep-tech companies, technology companies, and startups working with Infinity Labs R&D.
An unprecedented opportunity for the youth of the North
The joint initiative seeks to create a real path to building a stable and meaningful technological career for young people from Haifa and the surrounding area. The training is funded for those accepted, enabling a Win-Win model: participants receive quality training and a first job in the industry, and companies in the region benefit from an expanded pool of quality developers.
