Upgrading water infrastructure • Investing approximately NIS 1 million in new, safe infrastructure for residents

(haipo) – Carmel Water Corporation recently completed a large-scale project to upgrade the water infrastructure on Abba Hushi Street in Haifa, with an investment of approximately one million shekels. The project was launched following a series of explosions that occurred in the main water line during the month of August, causing repeated water outages for residents. The work included replacing the old piping with advanced polyethylene piping that will last for decades, in order to ensure a continuous, reliable and safe water supply.

Replacing the main water line and installing new fire hydrants

As part of the work, which lasted about two months, approximately 400 meters of 6-inch main pipes and approximately 20 house connections were replaced. In addition, four new fire hydrants were installed to improve the city's emergency preparedness.
Upon completion of the project, Carmel Water teams carried out comprehensive rehabilitation work that included repairing sidewalks, re-paving the road, and improving the appearance of the street for the well-being of residents.
