(haipo) This morning, a vehicle caught fire on Highway 70, on the section of the road from the Tel Regev Interchange toward the Somekh Interchange. Firefighters from the Kiryat station were rushed to the scene after receiving a report of the burning vehicle. The driver of the vehicle managed to get out of the vehicle on her own before the forces arrived, and was evacuated by MDA teams in minor condition.
A private vehicle was completely burned on the side of the road.
Firefighters from the Kiryat Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched this morning to Highway 70, between the Tel Regev Interchange and the Somekh Interchange, following a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival at the scene, they identified a private vehicle completely engulfed in flames on the side of the road. The firefighters acted quickly and carried out firefighting operations using a unique foam until the fire was fully contained and the incident was finally extinguished. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was completely burned.
The driver was rescued on her own – a fire investigator is on the way to the scene
The driver of the vehicle managed to get out of the vehicle on her own before the fire and rescue forces arrived, and there were no other people trapped in the incident. The driver was evacuated for medical treatment by Magen David Adom teams, and her condition is described as mild.
A fire investigator from the Fire and Rescue Department is on his way to the scene of the incident to examine the circumstances surrounding the fire and determine the cause that led to the vehicle catching fire.
