(Haipo) – Israel Police detectives from the Zevulun Station in the "Asher" area raided two illegal gambling houses on Hamalef Street in Haifa last night (Thursday, August 20, 2026), in cooperation with the Israel Anti-Drug Police (IASP) and patrol teams. At the same time, additional enforcement activity was carried out against drug offenses in Kiryat Yam, where dangerous drugs were seized and a suspect was arrested.

During the raids on the two gambling houses on Hamalef Street in Haifa, the police located more than 100 gamblers sitting around poker tables and slot machines. In addition, operator stations, about 15 computer drives, slot machines, security cameras, cash and various documents were seized at the site. All the players found at the site were detained for questioning at the Zevulun police station, and at the same time an administrative procedure was initiated to close both places.
