The campaign against Iran – 8/6/26: Following the transition to orange defense level, the Tirat Carmel Municipality announced that it is moving to emergency operations. As part of the transition, the municipality building will be closed to the public and no activities will take place there, and all departments and divisions will not hold public receptions until further notice.
Municipal services in a limited format
The municipality has published a notice to residents detailing the activities of the various departments during this period. The Collection and Treasury Department operates a call center between 08:00 and 20:00 in a limited format, when there may be longer waiting times than usual. For inquiries regarding education, you can contact the municipal hotline 106. The Welfare and Social Services Department and the Engineering Department provide telephone support only and do not receive physical visitors.
The municipal library is partially open.
In addition to the restrictions on the activity of the city hall and its various wings, the municipal library in Tirat Carmel continues to operate only partially. The library is open for borrowing books only, with no possibility of staying on site. This is another step in the framework of preparing for the emergency format, which aims to reduce the presence of the public in public buildings while maintaining the provision of essential services as much as possible.
